Institution Notes

There are many suitable publishers that are familiar with the rock genre but I believe that the three most suitable for this magazine would be: Anthem Publishing, Team Rock, or Editions Freeway. Anthem Publishing are well known for publishing a wide range of music magazines as well as already publishing a magazine within the rock genre but of the vintage sub-genre as opposed to indie. They also are Britain's fastest growing publisher by copy sale revenue, as well as being an independent publisher, which suits this magazine's overall theme of independent musicians and bands. This is the publisher I believe should publish the magazine I have created.

Team Rock have four main magazines that are all music oriented; Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Prog, and Blues Magazine. This means they have a strong pedigree for music magazines such as my own. They, however, publish magazines contain very broad genre definitions in terms of the entire metal genre in Metal Hammer as opposed to a sub-genre as they with with Classic Rock and the sub-genre of the same label.

Editions Freeway are a French company that are most well known in the UK for their publishing of Rock Sound magazine. They have lots of international publishings that are not necessarily focused on music. This gives the impression of little familiarity with music oriented magazines such as this. This makes this publisher less suitable than the others as they may not entirely understand how to efficiently and effectively publish a music magazine.
